Usafe Platforms are a small family run company that have been established for 4 years and run by Jamie and Julie Cook. The Tranzguard is an aluminium guardrail that has been designed to prevent falls from vehicles. Viridian Glass instructed Usafe to design a fall prevention system that could be fitted to protect their staff from falling from height. The system is lightweight and can be operated by one person without affecting daily talks.

AuSAFE trains armed security officers and cash in transit guards, to reduce the potential danger to life (death) to new officers who have not used a firearm before, AuSAFE has developed the first privately owned laser simulation firing range. The simulation range uses digital projection and converted firearms that can only discharge a short laser pulse, to be interpreted by a visible laser reading camera. the student is surrounded by 6 CCTV cameras and 6.1 sound system, the student is able to review there training via the CCTV in an after action review with an instructor.

V/Line is Australia’s largest regional public transport operator. Each week, we operate more than 1,400 train services from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to most regional centres. V/Line is a major employer with a workforce of 1,460, of which there are more than 390 Train Drivers and Shunters, many of whom live in regional Victoria. V/Line’s Operations Group have produced a ‘Manual Handling’ DVD for our Train Driver and Shunting staff to raise awareness about how to prevent manual handling injuries and ‘stepping up and down’ injuries, using correct manual handling and climbing techniques.
