Operators within the Tapered Ends department would rotate every 4 hours in completing this task due to the risk identified through the site completed risk assessment. The automated system has now eliminated this risk as there is minimal human interaction in this process. The slit tin plate is used by the Tapered Ends department to load the presses and punch tapered ends into the plate.
