Sunbury Community Health Centre (SCHC) is a not-for-profit, community-owned organisation serving Sunbury and surrounds. More than 230 staff and volunteers provide a range of health and community services within a social model of health including: counselling, early childhood education, family day care, dentistry, adult and childhood allied health, health promotion initiatives and residential aged care. SCHC believes in order to ensure that we provide the best services to our clients; our staff should be given varied opportunities to enhance their wellbeing. We are committed to initiatives with measurable outcomes and to reviewing strategies to ensure learnings convert to quality improvements.

Jemena is a unique Australian infrastructure company that builds, owns and maintains a combination of major electricity, gas and water assets. Millions of Australians rely on us to deliver their gas and electricity – all day, every day. We are backed by over 1,300 committed and passionate employees across the country, approx. 800 of which are based in Victoria. Jemena is an aboriginal word which means ‘to hear, listen and think’ and guides the way we interact with each other and our customers. Health & Safety is a core value at Jemena. In living this value we established a preventative health program, Health4Life, two years ago. The program is designed to educate and empower employees to make healthy lifestyle choices so they can lead healthy, happy and fulfilling lives.

The WorkHealth Grant allowed us to implement a program that has triggered some long term initiatives. Narelle instigated the application for the grant and coordinated the program that rolled out across the organisation. Narelle's high level of organisation delivered well thought out programs. Pinarc Disability Support provides a broad range of programs to individuals from the whole of life span. We provide specialist allied health consultation, recreation, day programs and individual support in the community. Narelle instigated Pinarc's entry to the grant.
It's Your Working Life Health & Wellbeing (H&WB); - City of Boroondara

City of Boroondara (CoB) is one of Victoria's largest metropolitan Councils with 900+ staff. CoB's objective is to develop and promote the City's social and economic growth and sustainability. Council's services are designed to meet community needs from infancy to retirement and beyond; therefore a strong and healthy workforce is paramount. CoB know that staff are its most important asset and that their health and wellbeing is crucial to meeting the needs of the community. CoB has an established "It's Your Working Life" health and well being program (H&WB) which was designed to promote H&WB through a variety of activities.

Staff Health and Wellbeing at CERA - Centre for Eye Research Australia Limited

CERA is Australia’s leading eye research institute with a growing international reputation. Our mission is to eliminate the major eye diseases that cause vision loss and blindness. We currently employ about 116 staff, many of whom often work long hours sitting in a lab or in front of a computer, unrelenting in their search for a cure, improved treatments and better quality of life for visually impaired people. It became apparent that we needed to help our staff find ways to improve their own health and wellbeing and look after themselves.
