The 2013 St Ayles Skiff Project - South West Healthcare

Commitment to Workplace Health and Wellbeing

As a regional health service our staff come from a broad and disparate range of disciplines. In efforts to not only create social links between disciplines but to engage staff in healthy exercise and enjoyable activities South West Healthcare (SWH) fielded 3 teams in the National Whale Boat Championships this year. This is the 4th year we have been involved and it is getting bigger and better every year. Now we are fund raising to build 2 of our own boats with the view to engaging even more staff in rowing for fitness, pleasure and competition. As health professionals we know better than anyone that activity is everything when it comes to staving of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
